In his commentary on Romans 8:9, the late John Stott wrote:
"...the hallmark of the authentic believer is the possession or indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Indwelling sin (Romans 7:17, 20) is the lot of all the children of Adam; the privilege of the children of God is to have the indwelling Spirit to fight and subdue indwelling sin."
Join us each Saturday morning at 9:00 am as we work our way through Romans 8 to discover the practical ways we can kill sin and live holy lives for the glory of God!
Romans answers the question, "What is the Gospel?"
The gospel is the good news that God – in eternal counsel as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – devised a plan to rescue sinners from God’s wrath for God’s glory.
Steve Lawson describes the Book of Romans in this way:
"There is no better place to acquire a right understanding of the gospel than in the book of Romans. This is the apostle Paul’s magnum opus, his greatest work among the thirteen epistles that he wrote....it towers in importance over the rest of the epistles. To understand the message of this book is to understand the gospel."
Our men meet at 9:00 am each Saturday for a one hour verse-by-verse study of the Book of Romans led by our pastor in our Fellowship Hall. You don't have to attend Redeemer Church to join us for this Bible study. We want you here!
There is no cost to participate. We welcome YOU to study along with us.
