Created For God's Pleasure

When the cherubim and the twenty-four elders sing, "Thou, Lord, hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created," we are confronted with the absolute sovereignty of God over every created thing and the resulting tension between the will of the creature and the will of the Creator.
