A Reformed Baptist Congregation in Waterford, Michigan | Sunday Worship at 10:30 am and 6:00 pm

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

Join us each Saturday morning at 9:00 am in Redeemer's Fellowship Hall as we learn together from John Owen how to raise our minds from carnal (worldly) thoughts to spiritual (heavenly) thoughts.

Owen says, “Spiritual mindedness is the chief characteristic that distinguishes a believer from all unregenerate people.”

  • What is the evidence that a person is spiritually minded?
  • What are the proper objects of spiritual thoughts?
  • How can we discipline our minds to meditate on heavenly things?
  • What thoughts should we have of God?
  • What is the value and beauty of spiritual things?
  • What benefits come from spiritual mindedness?

Everyone who joins us for this study will receive a free copy of the modernized version of Owen’s The Grace and Duty of Being Spiritually Minded.

NEW FORMAT: Each Saturday, Pastor Paul will summarize and highlight several chapters (30 minutes). Then questions will be provided at each table to stimulate discussion on that morning’s study with the other men at your table (20 – 30 minutes). We will close our time together with prayer (15 minutes). The plan is to wrap up no later than 10:15 am each Saturday.

Coffee and pastries will be provided.
